Family Preview

The University of Florida is excited to welcome our families of the Class of 2024 to its thriving community. By participating in Family Preview, UF’s official orientation experience for families, we will help you successfully prepare for your student’s college transition. All family members of UF students are encouraged to participate in Preview.

In response to global health concerns, all Preview sessions for the 2020 summer are being held virtually. Family Preview will consist of helpful presentations, documents, and videos, presented in a chronological format through Canvas, UF’s e-learning platform. Participants have the opportunity to attend up to two live webinar sessions with University of Florida professionals who are equipped to answer specialized questions regarding topics such as housing, dining, academic advising, and more. Supplemental information will be provided through the Gator Parent & Family Association’s Family Blog and Chomp Chats podcast.

The goal of virtual Family Preview is to provide family members with abbreviated information relevant to their first-year student’s UF experience. Family Preview introduces family members to services which will support their student’s educational and personal goals.
